Erica began her hairdressing career in 1995 and has since become an educator, salon owner, and industry advocate. She is the founder of Texture Unravelled, a campaign and education programme driving inclusive hair education with a focus on textured hair. In 2022, she contributed to the landmark NHBF Ethnicity in Hair & Beauty Report and was recognised by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace for her impact on small businesses. In 2025, Erica was appointed as a City & Guilds Employer Industry Board Member and Validator, cementing her influence in shaping the future of the industry.
