Joining me on the show is Tracey Devine Smith, an award-winning hairdresser and successful business woman who has accomplished so much in the industry. Tracey’s steely grit, determination and a strong competitive streak has seen her triumph over many of the industries leading males, inspiring a new generation of women do similar, and she’s about to share that story with you today!

Tracey began her career in 1985 with her first hairdressing job at the age of 15, and boy, how she was a natural. From the moment she picked up her first pair of scissors, it was just nine months later where she was running a full column. With such a naturalness for hair it was only a matter of time before big successes came her way. Scottish Hairdresser of The Year (2006, 2007 and 2009), being crowned Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year, and in tandem with these titles and more, Tracey meticulously developed her entrepreneurial skills and turned her salons, Angels, into the most respected and successful destination salons in Scotland.

Today I want to learn about how Tracey became one of hairdressings most inspirational female role models! We’re going to kick things off with her start in hairdressing and how this led her to opening the first Angels salon. She’ll then walk us through her journey in hairdressing, bringing us right up to speed on her current varied roles.
