Salon International 2022 returned to the London Excel on 8-10 October, and what an event it was!
Back to it’s very best!
Packed full with inspirational stages, key industry brands, the British Hairdressing Awards photo gallery and business conversations, it was an event that’s getting back to its very best after the long dark days of the pandemic.
Inspiration & Ideas
Salon International never lets you down when it comes to getting you inspired with ideas. This year we particularly enjoyed the Colour Stage and its breakout pods, allowing the audience to get up and close with the hair colour educators. Another highlight was the Business Stage hosted by Edward Hemmings. It featured business discussions and topics that are really important to the industry professional right now.
The very latest in techniques, tools & products
The hall was awash with industry professionals getting the latest in techniques and trends from leading industry educators, whilst checking out the latest in tools, products, and special offers from key brands such as Alfa Italia, Diva Styling, Treatwell, Denman Professional to name just a few. Who doesn’t love a good shop eh!
Salon & HJ Live
A big takeaway from this years show was seeing the industry’s biggest names rubbing shoulders with tomorrows stars.
Heading into the Salon Live you had the opportunity to see industry giants Patrick Cameron, Mahogany, Sassoon Academy and TONI&GUY, then on the HJ Live demonstrations were in full flow from breakthrough hair artists including Jack Mead, Sheree Thompson, Brooke Evans, Stacey White, Georgia Bell and many more.
Modern Barber stage
Then was no doubting that the barbering scene continues to go from to strength as seen on the Modern Barber Stage. It showed that the vibrant barbering scene is continually adapting with mullets, longer hair and short sharp clipper cuts all sitting alongside each other perfectly, as demonstrated by a feast of barbering’ names.
Hosting a variety of competitions
If competitions is your thing then Salon International 2022 delivered big here, too! The event hosted a variety of competitions including Great Lengths’ Extensions Competition, Wahl’s Barber of the Year and Denman Stage Star 2022.
A great camaraderie and buzz!
What we love most of all about attending Salon International is the camaraderie and buzz. It allows you the chance to not only get inspired and see the latests unveiling of products, but its a fantastic opportunity to network and catch up with your industry peers over the weekend. Something we done lots of!
Its an event that we never miss and one we highly recommend you attend in 2023. Lets hope to see you there next year!
